After releasing three singles, Moon Leap and Nother team up to release On The Edge of Getting Lost EP. The project is a fusion of futuristic lo-fi electronic sounds with various tracks extracting notes of that. Both artists have seen much success in their solo careers. The pairing of the two greatly help expand gap within the genre.
"Nothing, Wrong" is the first track of the EP as the themes take shape. With brilliant use of sonic sound, Moon Leap echoes trials of a fanning love. The second track, "On Cage," is a little more upbeat in its approach. The lyrics are more refined and decisive than the pervious track. The chorus pack a punch that Moon Leap can deliver.
At the very core of the project, "Mary" comes across as a personal track Moon Leap. She spoke about the meaning behind the track as a way of reclaiming womanhood in today's society. The outcry of emotions within the "Mary" laid hard.
To close out the EP is "What's Left of Me." More self-reflective than the others, the title poses a deep thought. With the story wrapping us, Moon Leap looks to the future and its uncertainty. "What's Left of Me" eases out the EP in a warming way.
